Martina Kohl is an innovative Makeup Artist and Designer with over 20 years of experience in Film, Television and Commercials.
She was born in Austria, where she received her license as a hairstylist and trained in hair design and makeup design for Theater and Film.
Since 1989, Martina has resided in Los Angeles, where she's an active member and Journeyman of IATSE Local 706, Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists.
Taking great pride in her work, Martina is noticeably enthusiastic, a positive leader, and loves to collaborate with all departments. She is flexible and dependable with communication being a key factor to her success.
Her mission is to work closely with directors, producers, actors, and showrunners to achieve the desired artistic vision.
Martina's skill set encompasses beauty, SFX, period, and contemporary makeup and hair work. Her extensive resume and portfolio will show her ability and versatility as a makeup artist.
She works in the US, as well as internationally, and holds two Passports: EU and the US.
Martina has collaborated with celebrated directors like James Ivory, Darren Aronofsky, Gary Ross, Walt Becker, and Roger Donaldson, among others.
Some of the actors and musicians she did makeup for are Michael Keaton, Glenn Close, Vanessa Redgrave, John Hawkes, Mark Ruffalo, Flea, January Jones, Jennifer Carpenter, John Travolta, Ralph Fiennes, Christian Slater, Matt Dillon, John Malkovich, Rachel Harris, and Imbar Levi.
